Liz is a dually certified Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP-C) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP- BC) as well as being a Licensed Independent Certified Social Worker (LICSW). Liz has worked with and treated patients over her 20 + year career in behavioral health as a nurse and as a social worker with a wide range of mental health issues in various settings including inpatient and the emergency department. Liz has worked with several patient presentations that include but are not limited to Anxiety Disorders, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar and Mood Disorders, Schizoaffective Disorder, PTSD, OCD, Neurocognitive Disorders, and Alcohol Use Disorder.

About Liz:
Liz obtained her Master’s of social work from Columbia University before moving to the Boston area over 20 years ago. She spent the majority of her social work career as an LICSW providing psychiatric crisis evaluations for patients across the lifespan in several emergency departments north of Boston. It was during her time as a crisis clinician in the emergency department that her interest in medicine and nursing grew. Liz earned her nursing degree in 2008. Her nursing career overlapped with her work as a clinician and she has worked as a RN in several inpatient psychiatric settings including Mass General Hospital as well as acute care medical settings in the ER and ICU before pursuing her Master of Science In Nursing from Salem State University .
She completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from The University of New Hampshire in Psychiatry.
When Liz is not working she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, three daughters and her golden retrievers Gus and Winnie. She loves the White mountains in NH and recently completed her 16th of the 48 4000' peaks. She has a personal goal to hike all 48 peaks in NH.
Sara is a board-certified Adult and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 19 years of clinical experience across primary care, geriatrics, and psychiatry. She has worked with and treated patients with a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, mood and bipolar disorders, ADD/ADHD, schizoaffective disorders, OCD, PTSD and neurocognitive disorders.
Sara completed her Master's in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2007 and her Post-Masters Certificate in Advanced Practice Study in Psychiatry from the UMASS Tan Chingfen School of Nursing in 2023. She holds certifications as a Grief Informed Professional and Dementia Care Specialist. Sara has a special interest in women’s mental health, perimenopausal transitions, hormone replacement therapy, and mental health in older adults, including dementia care.
Sara offers a compassionate, individualized approach rooted in integrative psychiatry—blending evidence-based psychopharmacology with a holistic understanding of the mind-body connection. She believes mental health care should never be one-size-fits-all. She works collaboratively with each client to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals, life stage, and values.
In addition to her work with THRIVE, Sara also holds an academic appointment teaching advanced practice nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She is also an experienced clinical educator and published author in the field of nurse practitioner education and chronic disease management.
Outside of clinical practice, Sara enjoys exploring local restaurants and wineries, hiking, practicing yoga, baking, reading, and spending time with her loved ones—especially her cat, Elsie.
